WWF Attitude was the first wrestling game that made wrestling games worth playing.

It was also the first wrestling game that included a good create a wrestler feature which has now become standard in not only wrestling games, but many others (such as the new edition of Tony Hawk's Pro Skateboarding)

This feature is often what gives games staying power, especially for non-fans. The ability to make a wrestler named 'Big Fat Mumma Bitch' for example allows people to relate to the game more easily.
