... better. Main selling point for this one though was the addition of match types. Instead o the usual Cage and Tag matches this one was flooded with Hell in a Cell, Table Matches, Casket Matches, Special Referee bouts and many more that really add to the longevity of the game. Add to that the updated and expanded roster and this game really was a triumph on all fronts. Overall I'd rate this game very highly and one of the few PSX wrestling games that are still fun to play. I got this game as soon as it came out on 1st December 2000. I had already played Smackdown, which was awesome and really could not wait to play the sequel to the best WWF game on the Playstation ever. I had read all the previews there were and was really annoyed having to wait so long but at least it was well worth the wait. It has over 65 characters in the game, many new matches, moves and new stuff to do. The graphics have not really changed from the first game but they have been improved slightly to give the game a better look. WWF Smackdown 2: Know Your Role is without a shadow of a doubt the best wrestling game ever created in my mind. When I heard it was coming out, when I saw the screenshots, I thought it was just a glorified version of WWf Smackdown, which I suppose it is, but Smackdown 2 is much better. It has many new features and all areas of the game have been improved. Game Modes - There are lots of exciting new game modes, some of which need to be unlocked in Season Mode. Not just fat men groping each other! Wrestling, entertainment where men in tights grope each other, whilst play fighting. When you put it that way you wonder why anyone would bother watching this, but to describe it in the manner, which I just have done, would be doing it an injustice. Wrestling has dropped all pretences of being a serious sport, and for quite some time now has been re-branding itself as Entertainment. This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best wrestling game ever released on any platform. The stream of fully 3D, WWF wrestling games, on the playstation, started with WWF Warzone many years ago. They have now advanced to "Smackdown! 2", which is a supurb game to wrestling fans, and non-wrestling fans alike (as long as you don't mind a bit of violence!).
