Usually when a sequel comes out it should be better, emphasis the greatness of the original, but what if the original isn't as good as it should have been well you do little bits to make the sequel better while keeping the original unchanged. This is what square enix did with dissidia 012 the battle system is totally unchanged from the original( a frantic run around one on one fight between 2 final fantasy characters) and the story is almost the exact same aswell. But whats new then you ask well not much it now includes the characters from final fantasy 13 namely lightening and introduces a addition to the story mode where you can run around a map (that looks alot like the world map from final fantasy 9) and beat people up good or bad. And thagt sums the game up completely sadly if you have played the original don't both with this but if you haven't give it a go its fun for a while. I ask the question though why did square enix make it a beat em up when its a final fantasy game wouldn't it have made more sense to make a turned based rpg?
