This is by far the most complete football playing game. In comparison with pes 2008 and fm2008. It has far more gameplays and options such as management, quizzes, tournaments and overall detail. In some aspects of the management it has more indepth detail FM 2008 especially when dealing with aspects of the press. However it is to hard to buy players as it only seems possible to buy players transfer listed of which there are very few. There is a relatively large number of quiz questions which definately add to the game.
However if there was a flaw in the game it is very hard to cross into the right area, (gets easier with practice) if anyone knows how please comment. I cannot understand this as I have played this gameXBOX 360 and crossing is really easy and the general game is easy.
If you are comparing it with pes 2008 then pes wins in the gameplay. However fifa have the edge in a larger variety of games, better management issues and overall larger amounts of things to do.
The graphics overall are poor in comparable standard to the PS2 version which is let down as all the ports are very good. This can be off putting however if you like the detailed gameplay offered you might be able to overlook this.
I've owned FIFA Football games on whichever consoles I've owned for years now probably since about 1996 and the difference between those early days and what EA Sports are producing now is astonishing. They have taken great leaps in gameplay and general graphics and this particular version of the FIFA franchise is no exception and is very enjoyable. I was given this game for Christmas on my PSP and have not been disappointed so far.
This game not only features great graphics and smooth gameplay but there are a number of options you can choose from in the game. When you start you need to create a profile which will be your player you can save. Then you need to choose your favourite team. The options that you can choose from are wider than I can remember with teams from all over the world from a variety of different leagues so whether you are a supporter of a premiership team in England or a Major league soccer fan in America for example there is a team for everyone. Each team has their own attributes so it's possible to cycle through alot of teams before the game will get boring. So you can play with a lowly team if you have the skills and try and make them good.
Once you select a team you can customise alot more like the players in your team and a other game settings like the length of the half and the controls you use. The general controls are pretty easy to use as with most of the FIFA games which is why I can take to it so easily and enjoy it from the outset.
You can either play a one off match, play in a tournament of your choice, for example the FA Cup or in a league competition. There is also the option to create your own custom tournament which is a nice touch. Once you are about to begin a match you can select the stadium you want to play the match in and what the conditions are, whether it be sunny, at night or a random choice.
Another interesting feature of this game is that you can create a career for yourself and play as one player from your favourite team. Then in matches you are given targets, for example to have 5 shots yourself and if you do this then your career blossoms and you earn bonus points. It can be quite a challenge as you have to get computer players to pass to you and get into the correct positions. As if you're not then they will still try to get the ball to you but will fall to the opposition.
During gameplay you can either play as a beginner, amateur, semi-pro or professional and each one gets progressively harder as the computer team gets better and better. Therefore as you develop skills then you can move up the skill levels to keep interest going. As said the controls are simple enough for basic passing, tackling and shooting, plus there is a through ball that can work well if you time your runs correctly.
Overall this is a great game for any football fan and if you've owned other versions then this one is well worth a go as well as they have made great steps in improving it.
FIFA 09 is a game by EA sports for the PSP. It is based on Football around the. The game has most of the leagues from around the world, Premier League, MLS, Seria A which is great for the game.
The graphics and the game play are very good considering it is on a portable devise. I expected the game to be jumpy but this is not the case. The game also has a lot of the famous stadiums from around the world in the game also. Wembely, St.James to name a few.
The only disadvantage with the game is that they are not a training or free play mode where you can home your skills. You have to play a game to get used to the controls and get you eye in for goal.
There are a lot of different game modes you can play.
Normal league and tournament mode, Manager Mode, challenge mode and the all not Be A Pro mode. Here you pick a player you want to play as and you only control him. You can raise his attributes and become the star of the team.
The game is my favorite for the PSP as you can never get board. The game by is great and I think everyone will love it.
