Advantages: Fantastic Story, loads of replayability

Disadvantages: No Cut scene skipping (This is a problem when you keep dying from certain bosses)

10 years after the release of Final Fantasy VII fans are treated to a prequel, which among other things makes up for any damage done by the dodgey "Shoot'em up" dirge of Cerburus. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

This game is centralised around Zack a minor character from the original title, who in contrast to Cloud is a really chirpy outgoing 1st Class SOLDIER. The gameplay is essentially mashing things up with a slot machine going in the background, this at first feels a little confusing and random but after a while it begins to flow.

The game will take you down nostalgia lane, as you'll be constantly greeted by familiar faces and locations from the original game.

The games story and cinematics are stunning, and the game really ties up some loose ends.

Some maybe dissapointed as this game isn't Final Fantasy VII, while Square Ennix have succeeded in making the player feel immersed in that universe again, it still feels very detatched from the original title, everything down to the way materia is equipped to the lack of party members may dissapoint you, so this is one to avoid if you are looking for a more conventional Final Fantasy title.

Most FF7 fans will welcome this, I'd say this is worth it for the story alone.
