I downloaded a demo of this game to see what it was like of the play station network.. i know this sounds sad but i loved it so i went out and brought the game.. i brought the first one and brought this one so i sorta have the set of them... i think its one of the easiest games to play with it simple controlls to it.. the storyline is great behind the game which can get you addicted to the game
I have to initially admit I went into this game slightly sceptical. Having read numerous good reviews I still found myself wondering how a game in which you guide colouful blobs around whimsical landscapes could be entertaining beyond the first 5 minutes. Upon picking this game game up and playing it for a few hours (longer had I had the time) I had my answer and was no longer doubting the reviewers, and am now in fact joining them.
Loco Roco 2 is a wonderfully playful and ultimately charming game that will entertain Kids from the age of 5 (if they are able to hold PSPs in their tiny hands) up to adults aged 60 and beyond (who I hope aren't turned of by the games box art, which screams kids game - its a people game). Whether its the cute characters, each with their own personalities, that you steer around colourful levels as they continuous grow as you find the appropriate blobs to eat; or the delightful and incredibly fitting music that is so dam catchy that I guarantee the tunes will stick with you for days.
Buy this game and be ready to be immersed in a game you can't help but play with a continuous smile on your very satisfied face.
If you've played the original Loco Roco, then this might not offer much for you. If you've never played a Loco Roco game then skip the first and pick this up. You'll be sad forever if you never let yourself enter the world of those crazy different coloured blobs.
The first game was fantastic. A colourful blend of crazy japenese style and simplicity, all rolled into a great sounding and looking package. This is all that and more. More fun, more mini-games. Just better.
You'll roll and bounce, using only the L & R buttons, through endless lands, defeating those horrible Mojas. Along the way you'll encounter a multitude of strange yet loveable, erm, things, and you might find yourself communicating in their language after a few plays (which doesn't sound too different tothe language spoken of Furby's. And to think i'm a grown man, shame on me!)
Like Loco Roco, this is for those who want a simple yet interesting game, which tickles you in places you wouldn't expect in these modern gloomy times. Don't let it's low price put you off, this is one of those essential, quality games that show the PSP off in all it's vibrant glory.
One word. Addictive!
The easiest game to play ever! The game is really simple to play but is really hard to master. You use the shoulder buttons of the PSP to tilt the playing field left or right in order to roll or navigate the Loco Rocos through different territories, as you roll around more, the Loco Rocos grow , you can also split them to fit through narrow areas.
10/10, as ive said before this game is really addicitve, its so basic too. Apart from rolling LocoRoco around the place, you can also learn new abilities and play mingames.
Its definitely not a HD game with breathtaking graphics. Its a game that retains its simplicity and has basic but colourful graphics which really does brighten everything up. Its very pleasing to play at times.
It has a 3+ rating, so you can already guess what sort of music it will have. The game contains some of the soundtrack from te first game in the series. Its one of those happy songs with a basic rythmn to it.
