A Challenging Pursuit (Pursuit Force (PSP))

Advantages: Fun to play, decent graphics, unique

Disadvantages: repetitive, quite difficult

This is a game exclusive to the PSP and a sequel has been released called Pursuit Force Extreme Justice. This was one of the games I got when I first bought the PSP as what I had seen it on gaming shows and on the internet and I thought that it looked awesome. The basic story is that you are a cop who has joined the recently formed Pursuit Force which is an agency set up to combat the rising crime level created by the city's many criminals. The game starts off with a news broadcast which tells you all about the different gangs and the Pursuit Force.

There are three gameplay modes, the story mode which will take up most of your time, a race mode and also a time trial mode. There is no multiplayer but this isn't a major problem as it was one of the first titles released and it's hard to see how one would be implemented.

The reason I was drawn to this game was that it's the first game I know off that has you racing through traffic then jumping from car to car and even onto helicopters and also that has third person action sections.

Whilst at first this sounds great and for the most part it is, it quickly becomes repetitive. There is also the difficulty in some levels and this gets frustrating.

This a cool game and if you don't mind the challenge then definitely pick it up. This is also a great game because it is generally unique and is certainly action packed.

Summary: A fun game which can be picked up very cheap
