Disadvantages: not reliable, non-intuitive controls

Unit failed after less than one year. Gives 6-7 fast beeps whan any button activated, but no play. Sony wants more than exorbitant inital price to fix. Bad deal. When working, this was a satisfactory unit, although instruction documentation was primitive and unhelpful, and controls are neither intuitive nor well marked. "Hold" feature is a good means of eliminating inadvertent commands on the unit case, and restricting controls to remote only. Find another model that has a better performance history.
