Advantages: Good on battery life, Mega bass is suberb, Good clear sound
Disadvantages: No backlight for when in the dark, FM increments are only in .5 not .1, Cant see how to change european mode to other countries
I bought this Sony walkman from Argos, the price was good at only £24.49. Very stylish, nice colour silver. Nice blue digital readout, but sadly lacking a backlight for night time use. The FM frequency tuning goes up and down in .5 increments instead of .1 I thought that Sony would have covered this. The mega bass is very very good indeed, this walkman included a "Hold" feature so you cant accidently change channel. The manual is pretty good and clear to understand. The walkman has the usual ST/MONO swith and also NORM/Cro2Metal switch and included is a seperate swith AVLS NORM/LIMIT this when in operation can cut down on a high noise. The cassette itself is excelent I have had no problems at all using the tapes I have got recorded or pre-recorded. It has 40 presets 35 for FM and 5 for AM in Europe I cant find a mode to change to Canadian like I used to have on another walkman some years ago. The frequencxe range in European mode is from FM 87.5-108 Mhz and AM 530-1602 Khz or if North,Central and South America 531-1710 Khz. All in All a very good walkman and excelent for its price.
