A highly respected and trusted brand-name , Sony for me represents the "Volvo" of the electronics world. Probably unexiciting products that are nevertheless very reliable .They will continue to do the job assigned to them for many years with little or no trouble and with a great deal of satisfaction to the consumer. I`ve recently come back to Sony after dallying with other makers products for the last 15 years.Sony went through a bad patch for some time but a few years ago they began to re-establish their name in the world of Hi-Fi and Electronics. I've had the ZS-D5 for just under two years and it has performed superbly! Not only does it look good, the sound quality is fantastic even when pushed to the top of the volume band. The unit is both functional and easy to use. I do have one slight problem with the unit, there is no snooze function. Overall it is easy to use, the buttons are large easy to use. The remote is well planned and provides all functions including the cassette. Input and output sockets are provided on the front of the unit making it very easy to access especially if you change devices often. Compatibility with digital devices is provided via an optical ...
