	Philips EXP 321 ... ve had this for a couple of years, I originally bought it because it was able to play mp3s from CDR and CDRW. Although I do have a dedicated mp3 player, I would rather listen to my CDs on this. I did find the mp3 navigation to be slow, and this wasn t helped by the limited display. Sometimes it takes a while to get started when it comes to CD playback as well, and it has the cheek to show OOPS in the display when this happens. I ve also had instances when, on playing an album again, a couple of seconds into the opener and the album jumps to the next track. 	Sony CD Walkman D-EJ119 ... years ago I made the mistake of buying a Goodmans personal CD player. I should have trusted my instincts because it lasted a year and a couple of weeks and there was no way of taking it back to Argos when it only had a one year guarantee on it. What I was looking for was simplicity of a personal CD player that had at least one bass boost function and a Jog control which wouldn’t allow CD’s to jump or skip if there was the slightest knock. The Goodmans however had the worst sound quality and its Jog memory kept wasting the batteries. 	Sony CD Walkman D-EJ955 ... comes with the typical Sony quality that we are all familiar with. It s design is striking and the brushed aluminium turns heads. The Jog Proof facility is excellent and I was surprised at how much bouncing around it takes until the CD starts to skip a bit. The remote control that is supplied with the CD player is one of the best inventions. It shows you all the info you need from track names times etc. It has a hold function too which I think is essential . Battery time could be better. Should come with a lovely pouch.
