... I bought one of these at full catalogue price from Argos. The unit came in new packaging with new remote and literature. It had an in-tact Wuality Assurance seal. The recorder itself was SECONDHAND and BROKEN. I was luckky; the previous owner had been careless with the machine and it was obviously used as well as broken. Sony D-NE 518 CK ... upon a time I had a car, and it had a radio that didn t work and a cassette player that did. So I used to tape my CD s onto cassettes to listen to in the car. This wasn t ideal, after all a tape only plays for a relatively short time before it needs turning over, but that was all I had. Then I saw an advert in the paper for the Sony D-NE518CK , a CD/mp3 player which came with a car kit that simply went into the cassette slot and you could get upto 30 hours of music one disc. My mouth dropped and I said “WOW, I ve got to get one of them!!!”. So off I toddled to Argos and bought the CD Walkman for a princely £90, then as a nice bonus received a free 240 disc case and... Panasonic SL CT790 ... CD player is not bad as someone has written, I have been using this cd player for about 2 years now. I find it really good, but the only problem I see is that it can t play Mp3s. Other than that, it has a huge battery life, slim, light. so it is easy to take around. The remort comes handy in the dark, it s backlight is so cool. When using 2 AA batteries and rechargeable batteries, it works for about 80 Hours. Sony D-FJ 61 ... -Introduction- As some of you may, or may not know, I am a huge fan of Sony and many of their products. They are the first brand of 'personal' electronics that I would look at, when buying a new product. Their reliability and excellent performance has built up my trust and loyalty to the brand. I bought this mainly because it is a Sony product, I don't really look at the price because you know what you're going to get. I get through an awful lot of travelling around in my life.
