Iriver iMP SlimX 550:
... this is going to be a long review but i'll try and keep it brief. Firstly, i have been through more MP3 cd players than many people (i think), and i have to say that this one stands out from the crowd in ALL aspects! it is THE gadget for a mp3 geek. Some people prefer flash/hard drive players and some prefer the cd players. (incidentally, the hard drive players iriver make are damn awesome too from what i&... Grundig CDP 4200 ... FIXX.... First things first.. my initial reason for buying the Grundig was because it fit into my budget (it was less than half the cost of the Sonys), and because in that price range, it was the only CD player from a manufacturer I had heard of and whose name could pronounce without getting a degree in Cantonese or some other oriental tongue. APPEARANCE The dull metal blue finish of the Squixx does stand out substantially from the sea of silver and grey discmans from the shelf, which is how it caught my eye in the first place. The circularly arranged silver buttons are a nice touch, but the button in the top right hand corner seems to be a dummy, which ... Read the full review: Grundig Squixx :Discman by karan701 |

Sony CD Walkman D-NE511 ... the beginning there was the audio tape. Actually that's a lie but for the purpose of this op I'm going to ignore vinyl and the older tape formats because, to the best of my knowledge, nobody designed any personal battery-powered gadgets to play them on the move. (Presumably, in the case of vinyl, because the stylus jumped too much when you walked) Anyway. In the beginning (of this op) there was the audio tape. And lo, people were mightily impressed but they wanted to be able to listen to the audio tape while sitting at the bus stop waiting for the bus that, unknown to them, had actually broken down a few miles down the road. The makers were listening and ... Read the full review: You Spin Me Right Round Baby, Right Round by Nomad |

Sony D-EJ 885 ... be honest if anyone just wanted a cd player, they could go out and buy one from Asda or somewhere for no more then 20 quid. But this model boasts so much more then the typical cd Walkman. Style/Look The main attraction to this product to anyone is the size and outward appearance, just look at it. Its dazzling elegant silver exterior could win anyone over. But the main selling point of course being its width. It stands at an impressive 0.75 Inches in depth, just enough to hold the cd and some vital workings. As well as looking impressive this allows the players to fit in bags, pockets and other spaces usually inaccessible to cd walkmans. Also included is a small...
