Advantages: handy and portable
Disadvantages: speakers vibrate if put on full volume
I bought this Groov-e GVPS713 Boombox from an electical retailers in Leominster town about six months ago as i wanted a little portable CD player for the caravan thats in my garden where I sit and read sometimes during the spring and summer to get away from the noise of the household. I have my daughter, my son in law and their son Oscar who's now ten months old living with me now and he's my third granchild and full of energy, so it's nice to sit and read and unwind to my music now and then in the caravan out of the way.
I paid £23.40 for this loverly red Boombox but you can get them on Amazon now for £17.99 but it depends on the colour as some of the colours are more expensive than others, but why i have no idea as it is the same model. I am happy with my metalic coloured red and was happy to pay the price at the time.
it has lasted well and gets moved around from caravan to outside in the garden a lot over the summer months and has had a few knocks and scrapes but it's still going strong.
It is just a basic portable CD player , there is no MP3 or DAB radio but it does the job and is a reasonable price and with christmas suddenly zooming towards us rapidly it is on my christmas list for my grandaughter as she wants one for her bedroom so she can play her music.
It has FM /Am radio and plays the CD that you burn on your computer as it is CD/RW compatable which is great for me as I like to download music and make my own CD's.
The out put is 1.2w Watts so it isn't a very loud machine but loud enough to hear when your at the bottom of my gareden but I have to say that if you turn it up full blast there is a little distortion in the speakers so it has to be played at a lower level.
It has a 20 track pre programme so you can play or repeat or shuffle the tracks to your liking.
The lid flips up to hold the CD so it sits and plays without jumping.
It comes paked in a very bright white and red and blue box and the power cable is included with the product so you can just get it out of the box and plug it in and play which is always a good thing as I hate buying things to find there's added cost with the cables or power cords.
Al in all it's a good little model and handy for the kitchen, the caravan of a child's bedroom.
I'm happy to recommend this to you.
