Sony CD Walkman D-NE1 ... CD player was a constant companion of mine until about two years ago when I bought an mp3 player. It kept me going for many a bus journey. The battery life is probably its most outstanding feature. On a full charge and playing Atrac CDs it runs for 150 hours (stated by Sony) which equates to about a week or two being used during the day for commuting or running. The sound output is of Sony s infallible high calibre and more than necessary for most people. The styling and build quality is stunning. Features are........ 1) 50 second anti-shock 2) 200 mp3 on one cd 3)channel selection(you can select the audio channel to play the vocal or backing tracks) 4) ID3 tag,displays the name and number of the track,also artist and album name. 5)Ni-Mihm(battery) lasts about 4 hours. Battery Drawback-when you keep the battery for charging it takes 2 hours to charge up again. Battery benefits-beneficial point is you can replace other rechargeable batteries of other brands. Sony Atrac3/MP3 CD Walkman D-NE300 ... sony walkman is alot more costly than many other portable CD players, but is reliable and has additional abilities. I have had no problems with it what so ever and the sound quality is good. If you are hoping to listen to old CDs, which would otherwise be thrown away, as well as downloading new songs from computers on to it, then this is ideal. However, I think that it is better value to buy an ipod or mp3 player as well as a cheap CD player for the same price, as you can carry it around easily and run with it if necessary and you can listen to old CDs when you are on a train for example, which will not get stolen!
