Advantages: Good battery time, easy to transport and use
Disadvantages: Poor reliability, started to skip after 2yrs despite anti-skip
I purchased this quite a long time ago, prior to the mp3 craze. I wanted it to use on the school bus and the lengthy playback persuaded me to purchase it over other models.
The design is quite nice, at the time it was the slimmest cd player and the metal ring on the lid is a nice touch. It comes with a rather unattractive carry bag to protect it. If you want to get the full 115 hours of battery life you need to attach a battery connecting pouch which hangs from the cd player ruining the design. If you use the internal battery you get roughly 41 hrs from it. The addition of a remote is quite useful and good to have as to buy it separately it's not cheap.
Although there is anti-skip on the cd player I found that after a year or two on the school bus it did begin to skip and I'd have to hold the cd player at certain angles which definitely wasn't what I'd expected considering the price tag of around £200. The sound quality was ok, nothing fantastic but ok.
Overall given the choice again I wouldn't purchase it. For it to skip after around 2 yrs when the price tag is £200 is very poor indeed, I might as well have purchased something far cheaper. These days there's not much point to cd players, better off going for an mp3 player.
I have posted this on Ciao.
Summary: Good while it lasted but didn't last long enough to be worth the price tag
