... purchased this quite a long time ago, prior to the mp3 craze. I wanted it to use on the school bus and the lengthy playback persuaded me to purchase it over other models. Sony D-E 330 ... The CD-player itself looks really smart, finished with silver and white giving It an aluminium style yet is made of plastic. Though it isn t weak - the player feels really solid, but I have managed to scratch the top of mine. This is probably down to my own fault though, bundling it in my schoolbag in a pocket which is far too small, where I also kept my house keys .Not good! The Sony logo is embossed on the middle of the player, in small silver writing, which looks quite classy. Below this is Sony s Walkman logo, a bubble-style W with a full stop. Sony CD Walkman D-EJ119 ... had a one year guarantee on it. What I was looking for was simplicity of a personal CD player that had at least one bass boost function and a Jog control which wouldn’t allow CD’s to jump or skip if there was the slightest knock. The Goodmans however had the worst sound quality and its Jog memory kept wasting the batteries. So, I was looking initially for a higher quality name and having had my Sony Walkman personal stereo still going strong which I’ve had for a number of years, the logical choice was either Sony or Panasonic, of which I have owned a stereo from this company too. Sony CD Walkman D-EJ955 ... comes with the typical Sony quality that we are all familiar with. It s design is striking and the brushed aluminium turns heads. The Jog Proof facility is excellent and I was surprised at how much bouncing around it takes until the CD starts to skip a bit. The remote control that is supplied with the CD player is one of the best inventions. It shows you all the info you need from track names times etc. It has a hold function too which I think is essential . Battery time could be better. Should come with a lovely pouch.
