Archos 504 ... have an 80GB version of one of these. I got mine for £200 at Currys. This is a good product overall, it can be used to play music, video and view pictures and .pdf files. The player is fairly large due to the screen and has a good and sleek design. It can also be used as an external hard drive to back up files from your computer. Skins are available from the internet. There are a few problems: it cannot play .mpeg video files or video files with the audio AC3 format. You will have to convert .mpeg files and video files with the audio AC3 format into .avi files with audio mp3. ALso the battery life is quite short but overall the video and audio quality is good. The guide... Read the full review: Archos 504 by prozium |

Sharp MD MT270 H ... previous reviewer stated that this minidisc didn t split his tracks up when recording. I suspect that he was not recording using DynSync (re the manual - available online). I ve recorded loads of CDS and it has always split up the tracks. This unit is extremely reliable and hard wearing (still going strong!), VERY easy on batteries (it uses a single AA which lasts for days) and has outstanding sound quality. I use LP4 for pop, LP2 for classical and SP only for underrecorded CDs or if I want to play the MD through speakers (I plug an old pair of PC speakers into the earphone socket). The buttons are easy to manipulate. My cons: No microphone. The buttons, since they... Read the full review: Reliable Workhorse, Good sound but no looker by Evi |

Aiwa AM-NX9 ... AMNX9 minidisk player is a nice minidisk player with long battery life and great sound the price is also good for a product like this its a shame about the software though ( sonys sonic stage) which only alows you to download a song 3 times to your minidisk player then it blocks it over all the software is easy to use. the mimidisk player also has a one button download feature which allows you to download songs to it with just a press of a button. sonic stage (mini disk software) no input for mic or external recording...
