Advantages: Good sound Quality, rechargeable

Disadvantages: LCD Screen is small, or too narrow

I am totally satisfied and pleased with my new minidisc recorder. It does absolutely everything I want it to do. I have recorded thirteen minidiscs now, and it is very easy to use, or at least the digital record feature is. To record you simply insert disc, connect to hi-fi, slide record, press play on hi-fi. That’s all you need to do, it starts exactly before the music begins marks the tracks and stops at the end. It even switches itself off when it has done. That is one feature I particularly appreciate. My portable CD player, like my MD player/recorder was rechargeable, but I always used to leave it on, and the batteries went flat. If no disc is playing and you don't press anything for five seconds, it switches off. Also, it switches on with the touch of any button, and there is a hold switch to avoid and problems of it turning on or off when not wanted. It is the automatic sound system that suits me fine. I have never known any appliance to be as easy to use as this in my life.

I have been thinking about getting a Mini-Disc player/recorder and after reading your review was almost certain that this was the right one for me. However I found details of various problems with this model on www.minidisc.ch, can you tell me whether you have had any problems with the player and how long you have had it, thanks.
