Panasonic SJ MJ88:
... brought this player nearly 2 years ago when it was quite highly rated, and recordable personal MD players were really top of the notch and very expensive. For this reason I went for the cheaper option, and was very happy with my purchase. It offered what I saw to be a high sound quality in a very slylish casing. It does however make it easy to use, as there are less functions (none recording related), and the manua... Read the full review: Slim, stylish, and ......... scratched! by stainer1986 |

Panasonic SJ-MR200 ... and getting it there, they acknowledged and i went to a retail store in my nearest city; Chester. The selection of the mini disc players was larger than in my local. The SJ-MR200 had a NiCad battery; this eliminates the bump out the back when you have an "AA" sized battery. I wanted another NiCad battery mini disc player and the first one I saw was the SJ-MR220. I was happy with the Panasonic SJ-MR200 and with the SJ-MR220 being the newer model, I went for it. Features: The SJ-MR220 has more features than other mini disc players could imagine. The front of the Mini disc player has a two line LCD at the top. While playing there is a graphic equalizer at... Read the full review: SJ-MR220 by drew_greenday |

Panasonic SJ MJ88 ... at home already. That decision narrowed the field dramatically and with a budget of about £140 I set off for Currys (I actually work there so I am slightly biased). Upon heading for the Minidisc cabinet I already knew from a bit of research that I really had a choice of two Brands that were any good. Sony, the original creators of the Minidisc and the manufacturer with the most models, and Panasonic who have entered the race slightly later but whose recent players have been of an excellent standard. After weighing up the options I decided to go for the Panasonic and this opinion is going to tell you why and how I got on. For starters the Panasonic I chose is th... Panasonic SJ-MR200 ... there's alot to like about this little fellah. Panasonic has done something out of the ordinary and like no other player seen before, it's used a touch screen control. Also it has one of the funkiest in-line remote controls that i've ever seen, which also has a cool "blue" backlit screen. It offers you a full range of editing functions and titling tracks is very easy, recording is a ver simple two button process. In term of DSP there are S-XBS(bass boost) and Train (muted high-end) modes. There is an absence of full control on the main unit, which means that sometimes you will need to use the remote. I found that when you have the bass... Read the full review: Mini-disc will never be the same again! by matt_uk |
