The previous reviewer stated that this minidisc didn't split his tracks up when recording. I suspect that he was not recording using DynSync (re the manual - available online). I've recorded loads of CDS and it has always split up the tracks. This unit is extremely reliable and hard wearing (still going strong!), VERY easy on batteries (it uses a single AA which lasts for days) and has outstanding sound quality. I use LP4 for pop, LP2 for classical and SP only for underrecorded CDs or if I want to play the MD through speakers (I plug an old pair of PC speakers into the earphone socket). I bought this Mini-Disc player/recorder after having several CD players that all broke after less than a year. When I got it I was surprised at how small it was, and also happy that it didn?t have a compartment for the battery sticking out the top. Instructions I found recording my first Mini-Disc very easy all I had to do was follow the step-by-step instructions that were supplied on a different sheet of paper from the instruction manual.
