Possibly the Best MD Player/Recorder Avaiable (Sharp MD MT821)

Advantages: Light-weight, compact, durable and easy to use with up to 16 hours continuous playback.

Disadvantages: Still expensive, but dropping in price.

I purchased a sharp MD-MT821H portable minidisk recorder about months ago, and I think its the best thing since sliced bread.

I use it all the time, I don't even play CD's now let alone cassettes.

It offers 24bit ATRAC recording, with the option of digital/optical recording from compatible sources. Its compact, and comes with a 'remote control' in between the player and the ear phones, allowing you to control the player with out getting it out of your pocket while you are on the move. It has the capability for upto 16 hours continuous playback too.

I bought it for £220 back then but I have seen it in shops for £180 now, if you compare this to a MP3 player, its great value for money.

MP3 players are OK, but what is the point in having one when you can record MP3 onto your minidisk recorder? With this MD player you can record any source without loosing any noticable sound quality.

It came with all the leads I needed, except from a power pack, but these are easy to come by. The best thing is that it is so easy to use, my mum can record with it!

Maybe you have found a better minidisk player than this, but I feel that this is the one for me. At the end of the day, get with it and get a minidisk recorder ASAP, its the best way to record and playback music today.

p.s. there are rumours that it is going to be possible to record data from your computer onto minidisk with this MD player. Whether or not this is true, i don't know, but if it is...... is there anything a minidisk player isn't going to be able to do?
