Yet another electrical product I have had the pleasure of testing and reviewing and a rather brilliant one it is too! The Sony MD Walkman MZ-E900 is a MiniDisc player, and Sony claim it is the world's lightest MD Walkman that combines the superb sound reproduction quality of digital technology with the ease and convenience of MiniDisc recording. These are the claims but how does it really perform when put to the test? Well you’re about to find out! ~~~GOOD THINGS~~~ My initial impression was that the MiniDisc player is incredibly light and aesthetically superior to similar substitute products. The picture featured is an accurate representation of ... Read the complete review

The Sony MZ E900 is very small. Its as thick as 2 or three minidiscs and the almost the same flat area. Im fortunate to test this for a few weeks whilst my other one is in for repair. The main unit is like solid metal. Feels and weighs like solid metal which is useful because I know its not going to break like the last few minidiscs Ive had. Most of the functions are accessed from the remote. PROS -------------- Looks and feels great. Probably the best looking minidisc player ever. Available in black/blue and silver, and silver. Slim, fits into any pocket. LP2/LP4 playback. (thats long play recorded discs) Plays NETMD discs ... Read the complete review

After frustratingly trying to get hold of this player, I finally got one a week ago. After having owned one of the Sony MZ-R900's, I thought that it was a bit heavy in my pocket, so I decided I wanted both! This unit is rediculously small - and weighing only about 55g without the batteries, I think that it's one of the lightest player around. As it is ony a MD player, it doesn't have a screen on the unit, but there is a backlit screen on the remote. The remote has a long sreen across it, which displays song titles very nicely. It also has a 'twisty thing' on the end, which you 'twist' to skip tracks, but it's also the volume ... Read the complete review

It arrived yesterday 21st February 2001 and what a wait I had to wait. I had to wait for nearly 2 months I had pre ordered it about 2 weeks before Christmas. I read the specs and knew it would be small but DAM IS IT SMALL!...when you first pick it up you then start to realise just how small the MD is. Very small and light. Even with the extra dry battery cell attached its still light and easily pocketable. I've had 2 previous MD's before. The MZ R30 and the MZ R50 for the last 3 years. The MZ50 served me very well and I love it when I bought it and still continue to do so. But it has one slight problem, it is a bit heavy and in my ... Read the complete review

I decided to buy this as I wanted a ... Read the complete review
