Advantages: Small size, large capacity, Battery life
Disadvantages: Software, Volume
The Mzn710 is one of the best MD players out there. congratulations to Sony for building a product that not only works well, but looks good aswell. First impressions as i took it out of the box was how light the whole thing was. considering how jam packed with features it is, it weighs next to mothing compared with my old CD player. As i started figuring out how to use it (getting completely confused as i couldnt use the player as it had to charge up first) i had many different questions for it. But confusion aside, it is still an excelent piece of kit. With a battery life of 80-85 hours (with extra battery pack) it can last you well over a weekend, and with disks that can hold up to 5 hours of music on them, you can listen for ages without running out of battery or music. the controls take a bit of getting used to, but after a while, you can do it with your eyes shut, although it makes it kind of hard for reading the titles. The only downsides or cons of the whole product are that it has a low power amplifier, which means that you cant hear it over a lot of noise. good quality low impeadence headphones sort this out. The only other thing that lets it down is the SonicStage software. it is terribly confusing, but you slowly get used to using it. I wont complain much on that, as you can get plugins for RealOne player and Windows MEdia Player to do the same job. Overall, a well built product, and certainly as good as its more expensive brothers, the MZN910 and MZN10 players.
