It has all the normal recording features and also has a track mark button so you can spilt the tracks how you wish. You can add the track names with an easy to use system even while your listening to music. I have now had it for over a year and it still looks and sounds as good as the day i bought it. The MZ-R70 is quite a handy piece of kit as it sports a number of excellent features but has since been very much outdated by the new 'MD-LP' minidiscmans. When searching for a minidisc recorder I decided to choose Sony, the leaders in the field and the original developers of the system. Sony also command style along with a reputation for making durable and feature-packed electronics. So far, after a year, I cannot say that I bought wrongly. ------------------------- The Look The recorder is in stylish metallic blue (also available in black and silver) although the shade of blue is not quite as appealing as the MZ-R55. Now if the battery runs out I just pop in a new one ...

The Sony MZ-R70 is a superb Minidisc Recorder that you can buy at excellent value. Whilst it costs £200 still at Dixons I found mine on the Internet (from Empire Direct if memory serves me correct, yes it does.. for once) for just £160! A saving of £40 and no pushy sales men either! In other words it's good to shop around rather than just buying on impulse as the price of the exact same unit can vary by what a poor student like me would consider fortune! (how can a 'poor' Student afford a MiniDisc Recorder you ask cynically… it was pay for by my parents for my 18th Birthday!!!) I'll start with the negative things that I think need ...
