Advantages: Small , light , compact , good sound quality, dual headphone socket
Disadvantages: t-mark button gets annoying , no screen on remote,
Small - Recordable - quality I have never had an MD player before this one so i cannot compare it. I can only give you my opinion on how amazing the little thing is! I have had it since around christmas (joint christmas and 18th birthday pressie from my mum)- what a great gift . I can't live without it now. I take it everywhere and it's so convenient. I had a personal cd player before so if i wanted to listen to music outside my house i would either have to carry around that with all the cd's i wanted to listen to or copy it to cassette and listen to it on my walkman - thats where you loose the quality of the music. It doesn't jump like my old personal CD player. So if i go over a bump in the car it doesn't cut out. An MD keeps the quality of a cd (if you recorded it from a CD). It's just as clear and just like a cd just smaller. I find it really useful as i can make my own collections of my faveourite music. It skips back and forward to the next tracks and fastforwards (search) tracks really easily just like a normal cd player. It's quite amazing how it can do all this stuff and it is really really small. I also like the fact that i can make mini disks of mp3's . I can download them from the internet and transfer them to my MD through the headphone socket on my speakers. This come in very useful if there is a very rare song that i have found on the net which i love but can't find in the shops. I can get it off the net and listen to it on my MD. It works a bit like an MP3 player because you can play them on here if you transfer them (i.e record them on to here). I would recomend an MD player rather than an Mp3 player. I love the feature of dual headphone sockets. My friends love this feature too as they can listen to my music if they have an extra set of headphones. This makes a personal MD player less personal but more sociable . If you
have the headphone - small ones - in ear headphone you can get up to 4 people listenind through 2 sets of headphone. A very useful feature! There is an inline remote which is usefull as you don't have to get your MDplayer out of your bag when wanting to change tracks. The only dissapointment with this is that it doesn't have a screen on the remote. This would have been useful in order to see what you were doing- e.g when labeling tracks , but it dosen't boter me that much - the screen on the system is sufficient. I also find another annoying thing about it is the T-Mark button . It seems to get pressed really easily . You either have to put the whole system on hold or have to slide that little thing on the actual disk to stop any editing. Otherwise you end up getting half of the song on track one and it completes on track two. I think it's really easy to use - to record - play - edit etc. I got the hang of it the first time i used it. The rechargeable battery doesn't last for a long time but you can put a normal AA battery in it too and it works just fine. The system comes in three colours (that i have seen - there may be more) Blue Black Silver I decided to but the silver one as i thought if it got scratched they wouldn't show up as much. Also because i thought it looked smarter.
