This MD is not for sale anymore, but yet it's such a great MD player!

The MZ-R70 is probably the best affordable MD player around. It's as small as other MD players, but it's got that 'je ne sais quoi' that makes it better.

Well actually I do know what it's got more. It has a remote control headphone. OK, so it's a platic one and to be honest, I don't use it because it's not good, but at least you have one! If you have the money, you can always buy a remote with LCD display. Expensive, but it'll make you look good.

The MD has no battery expansion pack, so basically that means that the battery has to be somewhere in the MD. It's at the back, and there's a big blob where the battery is. At first you'll think it's ugly, useless and makes it heavier. But after a while you'll realize that the battery is excellently placed. It's opposite the screen on the back, so when you put your MD on a table, it's slanted and you can read the text better. Also when you have your MD in your hand, the battery blob at the back helps holding it in your hand.

The menu of the MD is very easy to navigate through. I did have to use the manual a few times at first, but now I know what I'm doing (or at least I think I know what I'm doing).

You can plug a microphone and record your own voice if you want, or record a CD, MP3 and even the radio. The best feature about the MD is that it's got TWO headphone sockets. So you AND your mate can listen to the same MD. That means that you don't have to share your headphones, you can actually have stereo sound with two people! WOW!

For the rest, the MD is very basic. It hasn't got anything that others of the same price don't have. It's not a very pretty MD, but it's not ugly either. The new blue MD that replaces the MZ-R70 looks much prettier.
