Advantages: Excellent Sound, Small, Excellent features

Disadvantages: Noisy Motor, low quality materials on headphone lead.

I bought one of these MD players a couple of years ago now and it's still going strong and sounding as good as ever. Everything about the features and asthetics smacks of class and sophistication.
However the headphones have caused me problems. I've had to replace two sets because the thin wire has worn through to the metal and then stopped working altogether.
On both occasions when the wire has worn out Sony have replaced the headphones because they were under guarantee. To "buy" a replacement set I was told would cost £50 and that doesn't include the remote, just the earplugs and thin wires.
The sound quality is excellent with these headphones but they could have been more robustly designed.
