Creative Zen Stone Plus 4 GB ... terrific player for a terrific price. While not as stylish as the ipod, the Zen Stone Plus is offered at a bargain price and comes packed with more features and better sound than anyone would expect a player of this size to have The circular OLED screen is about the size of a 1p coin and shows track info and a battery indicator during normal playback. The controls however are painfully slow, turn on the Plus and it like to have a good old think before it s start pumping out your tunes.The menu system is equally slow on the uptake. Wharfedale FM6709 4GB ... looked really nice when i got it for my birthday, nice sleek design and different setting abilities like changing the touch screen sensitivity however i only had it for a few months before it started to all go wrong, first one earphone stopped working and then the other pair. i changed the earphone but now i have to press it in a very uncomfotable position/way ever 2 seconds to hear music video encoding is bad as it took me to 2 months to figure it out and i am an expert in encoding as i always encode stuff. overall i spent 40 pounds on an 8gb but it only worked well for a short term so when i have saved enough money i will go and buy an original ipod touch as i will n... Philips GoGear SA6045 4 GB ... With a mini USB plug, which are used on the majority of products nowadays, it s also easy to connect should you lose the cable provided. One sticking point for me is the capacity. When I got it, it appeared to be enough for me, but as I m adding more videos and less music, it seems that soon I ll be needing to upgrade to either the 8GB model or buy out of Philips, even though if I do that I ll be disappointed, as I m used to the interface now. There are still a few problems with the GoGear, apart from the low memory. Another is the interface, which uses as few buttons as possible, but makes it difficult to use when you first get it.
