To change the volume on the mp3 player there is a + - button at the top of the player right next to the SD card part, which is a soft rubber flap which you lift out in order to locate the space to put your SD or MMC card. (I haven't gotten round to buying one yet) This seems quite durable and flexible and so shouldn't break off too easily if you are careful.

The Alba MP3256D10 is an MP3 player I bought with a £20 gift voucher I received from one of the many survey sites I'm signed up to on the internet! Costing just £19.99 from Argos I thought I had bagged me a little bargain. It's obviously not one of the higher end of the market Mp3's but as I only use it when I'm travelling the 20 odd minute bus journey to and from college each day it is good enough for me! It has a 256mb memory which many of you will already know holds around 60 MP3 files or up to 120 WMA files, or a mix of both.
