Advantages: infinite storage for films, pictures and music all in one. no compromises needed!

Disadvantages: it is expensive so i guess its upto you to determine how much space you need

The long and the short of it is that this is a fantastic ipod. i have found that the ability to slip a huge 80GB of space into my jeans pocket has made any length of plane journey bearable (for music) and most train journeys in terms of films. the quality of the video playback has been maintained upto the usual apple standard and the battery life has truly suprised me considering the sheer size of the hard disc it has to power. i have however found that clicking on multiple items such as choosing a film by clicking on it and then immediately on another one due to choosing the wrong film, the ipod can freeze. although this has only happened once in the last month or so. the weight of the ipod is marginal in comparison to the 60GB and definately worth the few extra quid! as you may well own a laptop with a hard drive smaller than that of the ipod i highly recommend it if you are interested in your music, pictures and film. i hope you find this a useful yet short insight into the daddy of the ipod family!

Summary: if you have the money and are out to buy an ipod i recommend it highly!
