Advantages: Compact, easy to use
Disadvantages: Rubbish headphones
I've had my 80gb 5th generation ipod for around 2 years now, and this little piece of kit has never failed me.
Boasting a battery life of up to 20 hours, it contains easily enough juice to keep anybody entertained on even the longest of journeys, and I can't imagine how 80gb could not be big enough for anybody. Some may boast that they have more music than that, but I doubt that they really need it all on there, as it would take around 2 weeks to play that many songs. as I mentioned before, the battery life is only 20 hours.
My main concern when I first purchased this, was that I would somehow gauge a chunk out of the screen, or damage the scroll wheel. How wrong I was!
The build quality on this machine is superb. Even when I use it without the protective sleeve, there is not a mark on it!
It's full of usefull things too. like a calendar, video player, photo browser, clock, address book, and a stopwatch.
The only thing I can mark this product down for is the quality of headphones. They seem to be made well, but the bass response is terrible. It's as if all of your music is being played through a tin can.
