My first generation ipod broke exactly a year and a month after I bought it. I had a sneaking suspicion that ipod had designed these to break so often, however. Even when it broke a year after I bought it, I can't live without it. It really is worth the money, and as a music lover I take it everywhere. No other mp3 player can compare. If you love music and will use an mp3 player regularly and want to store a lot of music then this is perfect. Its so easy to use and everything is set out perfectly.
If you don't plan on using it that often and you don't have a lot of money to spare then you should try a cheapy mp3 player. If you dont have a lot of music to store then try an ipod nano.
Make sure you keep all your packaging though. They have a dendancy to break.
