Advantages: Fairly Cheap

Disadvantages: Realiablity on the poor Itunes.

As far as mp3s go the Ipod, in terms of GB to £, is the cheapest going. So obviously it's the best investment. However it's not perfect by any means. Don't get me wrong it's good, but compared to the software on Creative mp3 players its lacking a lot. My main issue with the ipod is the realiability of itunes. Though this maybe becoming less of an issue as companies such as winamp strive to add ipod connectablity. My issue with itunes is I can never get my music libary as i want it. Somehow it always loses a peice of album art or changes the song tag. And it really is quite frustrating considering Apple always like to claim they are the best multimedia Operating System.

My other issue with ipods is the lack of functions. With creative mp3 players your able to queue up a song to being after the next song but with this now 6th generation ipod classic that standard bit of functionality is still missing.

However, it's not a bad peice of kit at all, im just dissapointed it hasn't seen as much improvement as it has. But due to its price and memory it's still a more viable option over its main competotors. So love it or hate it the Ipod is the best choice going at the moment.

You can create on-the-go playlists to queue up songs.

Ah right, I'll have to try give that a go. I just find it annoying I had all the artwork sorted for windows media player, and the folders for windows explorer, then itunes came along and lost them all!

Took me ages to get all the artwork on too. I ended up emptying the ipod (after having saved the music onto itunes) and then using 'allmusic' for the artwork.
I do think this is a beatable problem although it doesn't make itunes any more attractive to users.
