Advantages: Modern, sleek,
Disadvantages: Took a while to get used to
I am a massive fan of the Apple Ipods and have owned an ipod nano, an ipod shuffle and an ipod touch. The trouble is that i always run out of room and like to know that i can fit my entire music collection on my ipod.
Design
The Ipod classic has a great design. The Ipod Classic is larger than the other ipods due to how much GB's room it has free. Considering it's bulky size the Ipod Classic is light and has a sleek design. Coming in three colours, White, Silver and Black. You still have a certain choice over how your ipod will look. For those of you technology phobes the Ipod Classic also has a larger screen making it easier to use and also makes watching on film on the Ipod easier. The scrolling format does take some getting use to but proves to be a good option. Just remember to use the hold button as this will prevent you knocking your options. This on the Ipod Classic is located on the top left.
What you get for your money?
The 120GB Ipod fits up to 40,000 songs on it. In context I have around 100GB still free on my Ipod. The Ipod Classic also comes with Apple Headphones and a USB Cable which allows you to sync the ipod with itunes. I would suggest investing in a docking system (turning your Apple Ipod into a stereo) and an Ipod Wall Charger.
Itunes
The Ipod requres a bit of technological know how. Basically it works with the Computer application Itunes which can be downloaded fro free off the internet. After downloading Itunes, you can either transfer your Windows Media Library onto Itunes or download the music off the Itunes store. Tracks currently cost around .79p with albums costing 7.99. Just pressing the Sync List puts the tracks on Itunes onto your Ipod Classic.
Features
The Ipod Classic also has a date and clock on it enabling you to keep track of time and also comes with a few simple games and an alarm clock. On the Ipod Touch you can also download podcasts from Itunes as well as videos.
Once you have worked out the logistics of the Itunes application, the Ipod Classic itself is fairly simple to use and for me personally has been very realiable. It has a high sound quality as well. On a negative it does not have a speaker system unlike the Ipod Touch meaning you need to have your headphones in to get music to be heard, unless you get a docking system
Definately worth the extra cash, the Ipod Classic 120GB is sleek, modern and great quality.
