I was looking for a new ipod a while back, my original nano was full and i wanted something with more capacity. so i went silly size, it had bigger memory than my laptop at the time. That is one of the best features of this model, the size of its memory, very hard to fill even with tons of videos on. You don't have to worry about running out of space you can put all the music you own on easily (unless you have a really huge music collection)!

I have always like itunes found it works better than other similar software especially when you are working from a mac. One flaw I found was they only way to get videos onto the ipod is by downloading them via itunes which is a bit silly when you already own the dvd's, we did find some freeware that would make dvd's in to appropriate files, but it would work so much better if this was worked in to itunes buying the same film twice isn't brilliant.

The screen is clear and crisp, its not the biggest but it is well in proportion to the rest of it, the text is easy to read and the images and videos are clear! The sound quality is really good and clear. The ear phones don't last very long though if you carry them round in a bag, the contacts in side seem to break and give sort of a hissing sound in the broken ear phone, pop some new ones in and your sign is back to the same high quality.

The touch pad for navigating works well and only needs a gentle touch to make it work, it works much more smoothly than my past ipod. The price when compared to other mp3 player really isn't that bad and is well worth it.

It has a very attractive design the brushed metal of the silver I think looks great and it is a comfortable size to fit into the palm of your hand aiding the ease of use! The screen and back are easily scratched so I would advise some sort of cover to keep it nice, i have the thin plastic lcd screen covers, they are very thin and hardly noticable on the screen, wheel and back. I also put it in a phone sock when carrying it around. so far fingers crossed i have kept it from scratching!
