Although the iPod classic may not be cutting edge technology, or loaded up with features and gizmos, if you are a true music fan you need look no further.

With 120 GB of memory, you can fit up to 30000 songs or 150 hours of video; so you can even have the odd film or TV series on there for those long distance journeys. You can also be sure that the battery life on this model will not leave you short fallen in times when musical uplifting is required; I always forget to charge mine, but it seems to last for days. Plus, its so easy to use!

The silver finish of this model gives a particularly classy finish, also available in black or white. Current fashion gurus and trend setters will complain about the lack of colour diversity, but those show-offs need only be reminded that an iPod is for music and not for the catwalks of Paris and Milan.

However, people may argue that it can never match the supreme technology of models such as the touch or that shake-to-shuffle thing on the nano. But really, who cares about the apple logo high-tech fashion statement? Not me for one, this model is all about fitting ones large and diverse musical repertoire on; without having to chop and trim to make room for new releases.

If you feel the same way as I do about music, then you should look no further than a 120 GB iPod classic (except for maybe the 160 GB version). You'll be controlling the playlists at parties in no time! Even the few games you do get on it are ample, but more can be purchased if need be.

Furthermore, this model is perfect for fitting on radio and music podcasts (maxxi soundsystem, which is free, is a personal recommendation).
