Apple iPod classic 120 GB
Advantages: Music on the go, so much storage
Disadvantages: Mine sometimes 'crashes' when i'm syncing
I am currently on my second iPod Classic 120 GB version, the first one that I bought lasted me 4 years until the battery charger on the bottom of it wouldn't charge up when I plugged in the adapter so I decided to invest in a new mp3 player. It wasn't a hard or time consuming decision to buy another iPod classic as I was really impressed with the model that I had previously bought.
The iPod Classic comes in two colours, white or black. The first one I had was white so I decided to get the black one my second one. You can store thousands and thousands of songs on the 120GB iPod. Just to point out, I currently have around 6000 songs on my iPod and according to the settings, it is telling me that I have used only 37.9GB with 110GB still remaining. You obviously can add Video and Photo's to your iPod but i've yet to do that.
The Cover Flow features is excellent if you want to find an album. You just touch the circle to 'flick' through albums based on their cover art. I have never used the Genius feature but I guess if you're looking to play a certain selection of simillar songs then it is perfect.
Using iTunes along with your iPod in a necessity in my opinion. I'm a bit OCT with regards to my songs/albums and playlists. They all have to have their cover art featured, the titles have to be clear, all the song information has to be filled in. I guess if you're like me and you like everything to look 'tidy', iTunes is fantastic in letting you rearrange your songs and making it 'neater'.
Unfortunatly the iPod Classic does not have 'apps' stored onto it which is a shame as the iPod touch does but it doesn't have as much storage space for your songs so you need to question whether you prefer a large capacity for your music, or if you have a smaller music collection and want to buy apps then go for the iPod touch.
As much as I love my iPod I have found one criticism, the problem that I am having is that when I buy new songs and want to sync them on my iPod I have noticed the it sometimes crashes when I connect my iPod to my laptop, this results in my rebooting the iPod almost every single time I want to sync my iPod which can be annoying. To be fair, I don't know whether the problem is directly with my iPod or whether it is down to my laptop or iTunes being faulty.
Overall, the iPod classic 120 GB is a worthy investment. It may see a bit pricey, but if you have a large music and video collection and you would like it all stored on one device which is easy to use and manage then this is defintly worth buying. I can't fault it.
Summary: Cannot live without it!
