Advantages: You can take your entire music collection with you everywhere you go

Disadvantages: It is quite expensive at £269

I am just about to upgrade to an Itouch but I still felt the need to let people know how fantastic the Ipod classic is. I first bought it 5 years ago when it first came out. To be honest I got it as it was a new gadget and I just wanted one.

5 years later and I couldn't live without it. Gradually over the years I've added my entire CD collection to it, meaning that I have been able to move all my CDs up into the loft. It has been a particular godsend when it comes to travelling as I no loner have to cram 10+ cds into my luggage. I can just take my entire record collection with me wherever I go.

I also have a speaker dock for it which means that I can also listen to my music whilst at home. It really is very versatile. I'm only upgrading to an itough as I want to be able to keep videos and photos on my ipod.

Another plus point is how durable it is. I have dropped it so many times but it is still going strong!
