Advantages: long battery life, huge memory
Disadvantages: Not able to download from the apple store direct from the device.
Before I had this, I had an Ipod nano 3rd gen (i think) and I absolutely loved it. It had a big storage capacity, good sound quality and excellent battery life. Then this came along, and it was a relevation. 10 times more memory, very high sound quality, and the ability to play videos and movies as well.
It is easy to operate and navigate around, and the wheel provides a perfectly suitable tool for this.
The memory storage is huge, capable of storing more songs than you are probably ever going to need, or if you prefer, a hell of a lot of of films or tv programmes, or both. OR, to be honest, a suitable amount of all three together.
One of the best things about this is the battery life. Even after about a year, I'm finding the battery life is still upwards of a week or depending how much you use it. If it is mostly for commutes or quiet time like mine, it will only need charging at weekends. It also charges up very fast, which is very suitable for an mp3 player.
In summary, this is an excellent device for both music and video, and they are pretty good value for money if you can get your hands on an older model.
Summary: Excellent multi media player for pretty much everyone.
