iPod classic really is a true classic (Apple iPod classic 80 GB)

We have a lot of iPods in our house and the iPod classic is one of them. This was a revision of the iPod (with video) and introduced a different styling to the front with black and silver options. The thing that remained was the awesome click wheel.

The model I have is the 80GB black and I must say that the powder coated finish is really nice. It seems quite resistant to scratches and fingerprints. The screen is nice and sharp, having a very fine resolution. The fact that it is 2.5 inches allows you to watch videos comfortably. I have watched many 30 minute episodes and it is quite enjoyable, though I would not really recommend this version of the iPod if you are interested in watching full length movies.

Using the iPod classic for music produces a rich, detailed sound from the supplied earphones. I would suggest upgrading these (maybe look at some Sennheisers) if you really listen to music a lot, as this is the only area that has room for improvement.

The user interface is really easy to use. Scrolling with the click wheel and selecting with the middle button is really intuitive. To add some variety to the format you can also transfer your address book, photos and calendar to the device. For further entertainment games are available from the iTunes Store.

This one gets my vote, massive storage, robust quality and so easy to use.

Summary: If you have lots and lots of media, this offers a massive amount of storage
