This iPod i got many years back before I'd ever really had a proper mp3 player, I'd owned those cheap little £20 things that you can get sometimes but I had never had a proper one, not anyone known anyway. I think i initially bought this for around £140 from Amazon or somewhere like that where it took several weeks for shipping.

First of all i was very pleased as previously I hadn't had a screen on my multimedia device but this one had a nice large screen with a good colour display. The user interface was also easy and understandable so quite quickly i was able to access songs in seconds where previously i had to press next throughout the entire database. I also liked the size and weight of the iPod touch it wasn't too small but still looked nimble in the palm of my hand allowing my to wrap my fingers around it easily to navigate using it's scroll buttons. I also found the weight was a good security help for me, as many will know a lot of more modern MP3/MP4 devices are very small and light so you can easily have them in your pocket and not even know they're there. With this I know it's always there so I don't have to keep sticking my hand into my pocket to check if it's there as i can feel it.

iTunes, for first time users iTunes can be quite annoying as there is a lot you've got to understand before you can learn how to utilize it's features optimally however i think this software is a great addition, it's free and helps you organize all your music easily and catalogues it nicely. It also has many useful features like it will get all your album artwork for you so when you click on a song you can see the album cover for it too. I think at around the time I had my iPod until my iTunes was around 65-GB and so i had no worry about the iPod containing it, the space it has seems endless and quite honestly you never should run out and if you do you can easily rotate what music you actually have on it at the time.

Unfortunately a few years later my iPod for some unknown reason my iPod decided it was going to stop working, ordinarily I'd be really annoyed but it had lasted me so long, done so well and to be fair to it it did suffer many drops falls and bumps a long the way so i think it stood up well for me.

In summary of this i do believe it's a great device and mine breaking was just unfortunate and unlucky. If you're looking for a proper multi-purpose device then this is not for you as this does just have the most basic of features but it does allow you to contain massive amounts of music on the move so you always will have a song for how you feel.

Summary: Definately a good choice if you want a lot of music on the go
