~Review~
This is the updated 5th generation iPod classic with 80MB of storage. The 5th gen iPod was updated in 2006. This update includes a brighter screen, longer video playback time, newly designed earphones and a search feature. An iTunes CD is not included with this update meaning you have to download it from the iTunes website.
This version is supposed to be able to hold 20,000 songs and I have no doubt in this. For probably 99% of people this will be more than enough. I have put on about 200 CD albums which are stored comfortably and does not affect the speed of the iPod. It also means if I wanted to use it to store videos and photos I would have plenty of room for this as well.
You sync your iPod with iTunes on your computer and this is done very easily. However, you need to be careful when syncing as there is a possibly of deleting songs either from your iPod or from your computer. For more information it is best to visit the Apple website. You can also manage your music and files manually by ticking a selection on your iTunes. I find this the easiest way as it means I am in control of what moves where. Through iTunes you can easily purchase new songs or videos and download them straight to your iPod.
You control the iPod by the click wheel, turning it to scroll through menus or songs and to select functions or skip tracks. This is very easy to use and quick to get used to. The design is very Apple. A black front with curved corners and a shiny rounded silver back creates a very sleek look. It is not the smallest iPod you can buy but it still fits easily in your pocket. Used with an additional case that straps to the top of your arm or simply in your pocket this is great for going for a run or to the gym (comes with earphones). If you value the look of your iPod I would recommend buying a case to protect the screen and back. I haven't found any faults with is so far, 6 months, and it hasn't failed on me yet.
I have found the battery to last nearly as long as Apple say it should, doesn't normally happen with electrical goods, but when it does need charging it charges up very quickly. This takes only a couple of hours and can be done either through plugging into a socket or when plugged into your computer.
This is a good looking mp3 player that will store as many songs or videos as you could probably wish for. It is easy to set up and manage through iTunes and is very durable, especially when placed in a case.
Summary: Great music player with the added bonus of playing videos
