Advantages: Compact and attractive (available in five colours!), Size has not jeapordised quality, it sounds just as good, Plenty storage for such a small gadget

Disadvantages: Needs charged often

Having previously slaughtered my old MP3 player in another review, you may anticipate another poorly-worded and technically illiterate rant. Fear not, my friends, for I am wholly in favour of the ingenius iPod mini, of which I am the proud owner of a nice wee pink one (engraved on the reverse, may I add with a smug smile!).
In technical terms, the mini iPod does not fall too short of the regular variety. Aside from the obvious (smaller storage, as for example), the iPod mini is, if anything, in many ways BETTER than the full-size iPod. Not only is it a handy-dinkum size that fits in your pocket, but it also manufactured with the far more suitable (supposedly) anti-scratch material. With the ability to store around 1,000 songs, you're dancin'! Who needs any more, to be honest?
Installing i-Tunes is easy peasy (and that's saying something, cos I am TERRIBLE with computers), and once you're up and running, it's dead easy to load your CD's or other forms of music onto your iPod. Seriously easy. A cocker spaniel could do it, for goodness sake.
The only drawbacks are:
If you listen to the iPod for any length of time, the likliehood is you're gonna have to charge it very soon. At the moment I'm having to charge mine every evening, but then again, I listen to it a lot!
If you're a music maniac, you may find 1,000 songs meagre (freaky). In that case, you'd be better off with the good old fashioned regualk i-Pod, which stores a whole lot more.

On the whole, the i-Pod is brilliant for music fans who can't be bothered hauling their CDs out again and again. Once they're on, they're on, and it's so easy to work the thing out. It's cheaper than it used to be too (mind you, you do have to buy the port separately at around £30, which prob takes the price back up!).
All I can say is that I think it's entirely worth the money.

Maybe you haven't read the title of my review then? ;-p It wasn't supposed to outline a lot of the technical side, because to be frank, I wouldn't have a clue. All I can say in defense of the iPod is that it certainly sounds fine and dandy to me. As for features...it plays music. Isn't that what it's FOR?

I've not been tempted by all the hype which seems more about fashion than features or sound quality.
