After the latest craze hit the streets, I soon went out and joined them. I bought an Ipod. A small one actually! :-)

When buying, I thought, why do I actually want one?

Well, like all apple products, the Blue Ipod Mini is beautiful. It's slick, smooth and apealing, and has the stylish white touchpad. Above all, this player can be regarded as 'the ultimate fashion accessory'.

Although there are bigger and possibly better MP3 players around, I decided to stick with the mini in order to keep the price down. Its small size, on one hand, is a great feature as it slips in and out of your pocket with no problems at all.
However, I found the player difficult to grip which made fast accessing a problem. Its also hard to distinguish between different buttons without having to look at the Ipod.

The size is 4 Gigabytes. As they say, 'this is thousands of songs' but you must remember all songs and audio clips are different sizes and lengths, making this statement a bit far fetched.

If your looking to transfer you whole CD collection onto an MP3 player, then I wouldn't recommend the Ipod Mini. It may be a better investment to browse Apple's larger MP3 players.

Features

There are many features with the Ipod Mini which once again promote the 'on-the-go' theme.
It comes with a clock, stopwatch, alarm and even a few mobile phone style games for those boring journeys in the car.

Sound quality is excellent and the volume is very loud at its loudest.

One of the other main features of the Ipod mini is the support from the providing company. Excellent service is provided when you run in to problems. This user friendly standard is continued in Itunes, the Ipods music software, which can be used for a number of different features.

The only real downside was the battery life. It was charged correctly and worked fine for a month or so, then began to die within two hours of playtime. The time seems to vary depending on what your doing (ie playing games etc).

Summary: A decent, stylish MP3 player for the girl / guy on the go!
