The iPod mini is a fantastic little gadget that will be more than adequate as a music player for everyday use. Available in a variety of colours, the 4GB iPod mini can hold 1000 songs of average length, which is plenty! Whenever you get bored, you can take off the old ones and put new ones on easily with the use of iTunes, which is free to download on any computer.

The iPod is very easy to use and has a sleek look. It weighs just 103g and has a 1.67 liquid crystal display with an LED backlight. Below the screen is the touch wheel, which is about the only thing you need to control the music player. You simply go round in a circular motion to scroll through menus, songs and adjust the volume. The centre button is rather like a select button. The outer buttons on the wheel are used to change songs and browse around the menu.

The iPod comes with earphones and a few other things such as the adapter to connect it to your computer. It charges through the computer and I have found it will last a good 5 hours on a full battery.

The iPod also has a few other features such as a calender and the potential to sync your information from iCal and various other applications onto your iPod mini so you can view meeting times and other information when on the go.

The iPod mini is not being manufactured anymore, but you can still buy them second hand for around £25-30. They are great little gadgets and can hold a lot of music for their size. They also have a screen so you can view what you are listening to and browse through music. They even have a few games on them to keep you out of trouble and a very handy locking switch on top to stop it switching on in your pocket.
