The Apple iPod mini is one of the oldest versions of the iPod. After the original iPod, the iPod mini was released in a variety of colours and soon became very popular. You can buy them in silver, pink, blue, red or green. They are pretty old now so you would only be able to buy them second-hand as newer ones are produced instead nowdays. You can buy them used and new on amazon from around 40 pounds, which is quite expensive.

The iPod mini is pretty small and the 4GB version will hold up to around 1000 songs. You can also store files and notes on your iPod mini. Your music is synced from iTunes straight to your iPod when you connect it go iTunes. The iPod has a small colourless screen (black and white) with a backlight that can be chosen to stay on constantly or only for a certain amount of time after using it. This enables you to use your iPod efficiently in the dark.

The iPod has a touch-sensitive wheel, which you slide your finger round to adjust the volume and scroll through the menus, There is a menu, play/pause and two buttons for skipping songs on the wheel, which must be pressed to be activated. In the centre of this wheel is a round button, which is pressed to 'select'. This makes the iPod very easy and quick to use. There is also a lock button on the top to prevent the iPod from skipping songs etc if it is in your pocket and buttons are pressed by accident.
