Advantages: Won't break if handled with care, very reliable and easy to use.

Disadvantages: There are better iPods on the market now.

Tough, reliable and extremely useful. The iPod nano 2GB may not be the most modern of MP3 players, but it is definietley the best value for money. I got this for Christmas almost 4 years ago and it is still functioning perfectly fine, even though I take it into school everyday and I'm not exactly the most careful user of electrical goods.

This iPod will hold 500 songs, which I find to be just the right amount for me, and I'm sure it is for many people. The menu's are incredibly easy to navigate with the circular pad and the 1.5 inch LCD screen with LED backlight is very clear. It only weighs 1.41 ounces and can be easily carried in your pocket as it is 3.5 x 1.6 x 0.26 inches. There are 24 hours of music playback with a charge time of only 3 hours. The iPod comes with a pair of headphones and a USB cable, and I must say the headphones are brilliant, being apple's own headphones.

Apple are a fantastic company, and you can trust any of their products to work at full quality. This iPod may be "out of date" but at £42, then its a great buy for any music lovers.
