Advantages: Brilliant and easy to use
Disadvantages: Itunes library a bot complicated
I bought this when it was first released and I have to say I have no complaints.
I bought the silver, I wanted the pink bt they did not have it in stock at the time, and I decided (as I do) that I wanted it there and then so settled with the silver.
The nano is extremely thin and I believe its 0.26 inches thin which is great as it fits anywhere without you even knowing its there. The display screen is quite small but as it does not play videos there is no need for it to be any bigger. It holds around 1000 songs which for me is more than enough however, although I thought I would never do it I have around 1030 songs on it.
The ipod is great for when your out an about although I found that a few month after I bought it the headphones broke and as they weren't under warrante I bought some regular headphones which still worked in it.
You do not need a charger for it as it does it through your computer however, I bought a docking station which you can also charge through there.
I am not really a technical person so I was a bit worried that I would not know how to use it and I was pleasantly suprised to find that it was fairly straight forward to use.
You can choose to listen to an album, certain songs, from a certain artist or have it on shuffle which randomly plays songs. I prefer to listen to albums but it is up to you.
A lot of people think that you have to pay to download songs on to it, but you don't as once you load the i tunes library on to your computer you can load your cd's on there so it doesn't cost you a penny.
I did find that the i tunes library took me a while to figure out but I did work it out eventually.
The nano has a circular control pad with manu, skip back and forward and play and pause. To turn the volume up or down you simple glide your thumb around it backwards and forwards for up or down.
There is also a few games on the ipod which is great if your travelling somewhere and get a little bored. I have found that playing the games does wear your battery down a lot quicker but it is still great to use.
Also at the top is a hold button which means that if your ipod is in your pocket no buttons can be pressed while this is on. This is great because before I discovered this I found that the music started blasting in my ear.
I would recommend this to anyone and I have had it for two years now and it is still working perfectly. I have never really had a problem with it and as I said above it is really simple to use.
