I got my G2 nano for christmas about 4 years ago now, it was a total shock but a very pleasant one as i was using a G1 shuffle at the time. I was impressed with the screen quality, the very easy to use controls, the variety in categories and playlists i could create and of course, the games built into the ipod. I especially loved the music quiz as it would make the quiz using the songs i'd installed on my ipod so it was down to me to remember the music accurately.

I remember marvelling at how lightweight and slim the nano was, it slipped into my pocket and took up very little room, also it fits into a hand comfortable and sneakily, excellent for listening to music in class(i was in secondary school when i got my ipod). I never used my ipod for photos which i was told it could hold but i filled it to the brim with music, being a teen of course i had a lot of music to stick on it and the majority of the songs were changed weekly whilst i composed a playlist of my ultimate favourites.

I feel the nano was the starting point for the app's we all know and love on every ipod today(shuffle being the exception), i remember there being a stopwatch, calendar, world clocks etc etc and after my school trip to China i kept my ipod on Beijing time :)
